OK, so I finished reading Anne to my kids on Sunday. A few things...so, I read this whole series of books as a kid and only later watched the movie. However, the movie is probably my all time favorite and I have seen it numerous times. So, many in fact that I found as I read that it felt like reading it for the first time. I love the endearing characters and the beauty of the setting. Does anyone else want to move on down to Avonlea right now? So romantic! I would also like to note that my children all 3 loved the book so much that we had to go buy the next 2 in the series yesterday. We will be starting to read Anne of Avonlea tonight. I really want to tell you all about Solace's reaction to the book, but I don't want to spoil the end for anyone...I will wait, but I will leave you with the teaser of knowing she's a sensitive girl and was greatly touched by parts of this book.
So, I promised her we would watch the movie, so now I just have to get it! (Though I just found out that if I am willing to watch it in 10 minute segments, the whole thing is available on You Tube...)

I have seen this movie at Wal Mart for 10 bucks. SO worth it. Check amazon, too.
They could show nothing else on tv, and I'd be fine. It's what I watch when nothing else is on (frequently).
