Golden Compass... not so "golden"

I also sort of read the Golden Compass. I say sort of, because I did read the beginning and the end. Some of the middle is a dark spot, as I grabbed large groups of pages and just flipped. I'm not sure which is worse, the obvious agnostic propoganda or the illusions to Narnia. Either way, His Dark Elements is completely overrated. Maybe I should have known after watching the movie... which was better than the book.
