1-There are 7 other books L.M. Montgomery books primarily about Anne and 2 books where the character of Anne appears in a lesser role.
2-There is a NEW book out this year written by Canadian Author Budge Wilson about Anne's life before Green Gable. It is (not surprisingly) called Before Green Gables.
3-This year is the 100th Anniversary of the publishing of Anne of Green Gables.
4-This month is LM Montgomery's 134th birthday (Nov 30th-same birthday as Angel!)
5-On Prince Edward Island there are many Anne tourist attractions. One is Green Gables itself (it has been preserved from back in the day) and the surrounding areas.
6-On Prince Edward Island there is a Anne of Green Gables musical that has run every summer since 1965, making it Canada's longest running mainstage musical.
7-There is also a newly opened sister musical (or sequel musical) on Prince Edward Island called Anne and Gilbert.
8-Anne is a world-wide sensation and has been translated into many languages. One of the biggest Anne fan clubs world wide is in Japan.

Interesting that the biggest fan club is in Japan!
No facts, but these facts make me want to go to Prince Edwards Island, see the house and watch a play. One day maybe.
