So now about this bookclub...



I think we are mostly on the same page here. It seems that everyone want to be part of the bookclub but not feel pressure to read it all the time. It seems we all read for fun, so we want to find enjoyable books.



Here are my thoughts:



1-I assigned out months for people to choose a book (in the order of people wanting to join). So, you may be asking what kind of bookclub is this anyway? Beckee picked Tess as the first one-it's kinda intense...true! When I picked this book, I truely did not intend to start a book club, and would not want to be part in a book club where every book was an intense classic...it's too stuffy for me. I would love to read a variety of books-seriously.

2-As Natalie pointed out to me, often book clubs get so boring, and we don't want that! Don't be afraid to pick a book just for fun!

3-As Laura W mentioned in her comment, the books don't always have to be on an adult level-if you want to pick a kids book, do it! I love to read the books for teens/pre-teens and see what they are writing for the kids these days!

So, basically I am saying this is a low key book club. Each month we will have a book picked by one of us to read. If you have the time to read it, please do, and then post any questions, comments, concerns, reviews you want as you get done (if you are posting spoilers-you might preface it with a warning in case some of us get behind you). For your book pick, it is an open world-pick whatever you want! I cannot wait to pick another book just to be different, and I cannot wait to see what you all come up with! This discussion does not have to be limited to the book of the month-feel free to post about other books you've read or heard of or have interest in discussing.
