I'm only on page 288. I just feel so sad for poor Tess!! I'm not sure I want to finish it now. LOL But I will press on to see what happens at the end. I agree with Andrea on the quotes she cited. They were very well written. I think I have also sometimes "made myself ill from thinking".
I admit that sometimes I want to throw the book down in frustration at the wordy descriptions that seem to go on for paragraphs at a time! Aargh! I'm hoping to get this finished by Friday. I'm excited to start Anne of Green Gables. I've read all of LM Montgomerey's books and look forward to reading this one again. :)

I wish I was as far as you. I've been skimming through some of the descriptions and hope to pick up soon. I will finish this month, though.
